In the New Media concentration, students study how to utilize new instruments of communication―blogs, podcasts, social networks, and mobile messaging. Students delve into these and other new technologies, gaining an appreciation of their usefulness, their best applications, and their overall utility in a variety of settings. The concentration culminates with a project in which students apply what they have learned to conceptualize and design a prototype appropriate to enhancing mass communications.
