Forensic Psychology - BS in Psychology

How can students make an impact on the criminal justice system by using their knowledge of human behavior and psychology? In the Forensic Psychology concentration, students will develop a new perspective on the application of psychological principles, questions of the law that may be relevant to legal proceedings, and other vital areas.

  • 181 total quarter credits*
  • General education  courses (46 cr.)
  • Core courses (35 cr.)
  • Concentration courses (30 cr.)
  • Psychology elective courses (15 cr.)
  • Elective courses (55 cr.)

Concentration Curriculum

Psychology Elective Courses (15 cr.)

Choose any three 3000-level or 4000-level PSYC courses that are not used to meet other program requirements.

Elective Courses (55 cr.)

Choose 11 courses from general education , BS in Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other Walden bachelor’s degree programs, or Accelerate Into Master’s  courses. At least three courses must be at the 3000, 4000, or 5000 level. Elective credits should total 55 to meet the program requirements. Students may also be eligible to transfer previous credit to meet their elective requirements.

Note on Minors: Electives can also be used to complete a six-course minor.
