Public Health Nursing - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Students in the Public Health Nursing specialization are prepared to take a lead role in improving health outcomes for entire populations, particularly those in underserved communities. The focus of the coursework is on skills such as assessing communities and populations; identifying high-risk groups; and developing culturally sensitive, realistic, population-based nursing interventions. Graduates of Walden’s MSN program will have the graduate degree they need to pursue Advanced Public Health Nursing (APHN-BC) certification through portfolio application.
