In the Cyber Security for Information Systems concentration, students learn how to effectively assess and guide security aspects impacting the information systems of an organization. The curriculum helps students gain insights into policies and techniques to increase the security of information utilized by an organization plus issues related to privacy and ethical concerns when using information.
Choose 10 courses from general education, BS in Computer Information Systems, or other Walden bachelor’s degree programs. Elective credits should total 50 to meet program requirements (at least 20 credits must be upper level). Students may also be eligible to transfer previous credit to meet elective requirements.
Note on Minors: Electives can also be used to complete a 6-course minor. Individual course prerequisites apply.
