PSYC 1001E - Introduction to Psychology♦


(5 cr.) This course is designed to introduce basic concepts, problems, and research methods in the science of psychology. Topics include perception, cognitive processes, learning, motivation, measurement, development, personality, abnormal behavior, and biological and social bases of behavior, including cross-cultural issues. Upon completion, students will have developed a general aptitude for the field of psychology and be able to explain basic psychological phenomena.  Note: For non-majors only. Psychology majors are required instead to complete PSYC 1002 and PSYC 1003. This course is delivered over a 12-week term, but is equated to PSYC 1001.
