MATH 0090 - Basic Algebra♦


(5 cr.) In this course, students refresh familiarity with basic algebra concepts. Students complete lab work and quizzes on a variety of topics, including real number operations and properties, simplifying algebraic expressions, solving and graphing linear equations and inequalities, factoring polynomials, and evaluating rational and radical expressions. They also engage in activities and discussions that incorporate math study skills topics to promote student success. Through this course, students gain requisite skills needed for Intermediate Algebra or Intermediate College Math.
  Note: This course is not applicable toward the minimum credit requirement for graduation. The course is graded S/U.
