The Career Services Center supports Walden students and alumni in proactively developing and managing their careers. The Center’s website feature webinars and 15-minute video tutorials covering popular career topics, a Job and Internship Search page, and career-related resources including job boards, professional associations, and networking groups. Additionally, the Center offers resources for specific interst areas including careers in academia, volunteering, and internships.
The Career Services Center team provides tailored career-related advice on an individual basis via phone and e-mail. They also offer live monthly career webinars on a variety of topics. Students and alumni may use the OptimalRésumé system with more than 400 résumé templates to develop targeted résumés, curricula vitae, cover letters, electronic portfolios, and personal websites to showcase their employment qualifications.
To support students and alumni in building their professional networks, the Center hosts Walden Career Connections, live online networking events where students and alumni communicate via chat. The Walden University Career Services Center LinkedIn group, Facebook, and Twitter communities offer students forums for connecting online. Serving a very large and diverse student body located throughout the United States and beyond, the Career Services Center strives to educate, coach, and advise students and alumni to proactively manage their careers over a lifetime.
